Wednesday, October 24, 2007 Learning to cherish what is some of the simplest things...The most blissful things in the world could just be the smallest things... but often we took it for granted, failed to notice or just couldnt obtained it. I hope for some of the simplest things n try to cherish what i have. However as a human i am selfish too, is it abit too much to ask for? Things cherished... To be able to walk on the beach, enjoying the sand. (In melbourne this is so hard, drive 3 -4 hours?) To cycle along the park Bring dogs out for walks (i sooo miss SPCA dogs and Langkawi dogs) Hug the sheeps in the farm Enjoy movies that is only (7-9 dollars in Singapore compared to Melbourne 12-17 bucks) Enjoy the sun... Be with families and friends... Just lazy around A good sleep... Having a usable bag Have a proper good meal Being able to take the MRT that i now find cheap... Able to sing K box Have my mum to help me wash my clothes and laundry Being able to drink chinese soup, eat satay, ice kacang... Anymore anyone? too many things i wanna do... kairi [hearts.joined] 5:28 PM Thursday, October 11, 2007 I just did the weirdest thing... It was raining slightly and melbourne's night is the usual cold, and i walked around the streets wearing a thin blouse and still drinking slurpee lolz... After which, i was freezing like mad. We just had a Biology Practical, and our demostrator told us that the in the Zoology Department, they were keeping some crabs and strangly they kept disappearing. Hence, they decided to put a camera to see why and they shockingly found that just opposite the tank where they kept the Cnidarian, the jellyfish was climbing out of its tank across the floor to where the crabs were. Before morning, they know they must go back to their tank, otherwise the people who feed them will know. They are just soo smart... One other event i didnt talk about last time was a crazy week where students were trying to put across their views by going around naked to various lectures... Yes this is not a typo, during the week, in various lectures you will suddenly hear weird music and students will run down and start dancing, striping or have naked students sitting beside you... In biology lecture, while the lecturer was talking, suddenly 'they ' came down and started stripping, the lecturer was shocked and speechless after that, she said " woo did we just had the best biology lesson, remember genetics and reproduction, take note of the various hair colour..." kairi [hearts.joined] 5:38 PM Thursday, October 04, 2007 Haha, one thing about Melbourne comparing to Singapore is the number of events that is constantly happening throughout the year, there are just so many... Moomba Fest, Lily show, Grand Prix, Royal Melbourne Show... The one i recently went was the Royal Melbourne Show, it is a sort of carnival, just that there are tonnes of ANIMALS... Some breeders will put up their studs to sell and participate in competitions, there are chook washing shows, farm animals for children to handle, goats that are giving births there... Look at poor mummy... "Stop sucking!!" Pig racing... reminds me of Wilbur... They can even dive!!! The Bulls are soo large... look at their butts.![]() kairi [hearts.joined] 3:55 PM |
