Friday, August 29, 2008 First time i fell really sick in Australia.My throat started burning and my palatine tonsils were swollen. For two nights i was shivering away under the blanket. I took some panadols and it does stops fever and shivering but only for 3 hours. So i had to take alot of panadol pills and without much food, this causes my stomach to be in a bad shape. Most of the time i felt like vomiting. On the 3rd night, I told myself not to sleep, it will only get worse. So i went out to jog and buy some Vit C. On my way back i started feeling giddy and goggy. I had to find a sit to rest awhile before continuing back home. Luckily i didnt continue on, if not i would definately faint. After another day my throat finally got slightly better and fever subsides. However, biochem test is coming up next. These were taken during my work attachment at a dairy farm. The stay there was pretty rewarding, learnt alot and saw alot. I will say that living in a rural area away from the city has pros and cons. In the country side the amazing thing is that everyone sort of knows each other. Somehow many people actually end up marrying friend that he/she knows since primary school!! (Imagine marrying your childhood friend?) Everyone in the area goes to the same primary school play similar sport. Most people do not play computer games they play Foodie or netball. Pretty healthy lifestyle. There is a rather close social network in the area.
