Saturday, October 11, 2008 We have this three day practical at Dookie, doing mainly castrations, tail docking and learning about management of farms.Lamb running away from us. Sorting the lambs away from the ewes (the mother sheep) Maggots in the wool.  Our lecturer restraining the lamb. Castration is proceeded by placing rubber rings around the testis.  Some small lambs are really hard to do as their balls are really small and the testis do not stay put. kairi [hearts.joined] 8:55 PM What do Vet student do usually?? A friend of mine goes to the market and buy back a whole rabbit to dissect when she's free. the worse part is that after dissecting she actually boils the parts into rabbit soup. Sometimes we will also ask for extra dogs to dissect when classes are less packed. This semester, we did Fowl dissection and I think after that I never eat chicken like I did.
